Behind Carotte & Cie is Alexandra, a passionate mother.

The creator
Since I was a little girl, I've loved creating with my hands: painting, knitting, sewing... I've tried almost everything. Creation is part of my DNA.
But I think I've always had a passion for textiles. As a child, I loved watching my grandmother Paulette in her workshop. As I got older, I learned the basics from my godmother. Then, as an adult, it was obvious! I had to continue down this path. So I began fashion design and pattern making studies to be able to design and imagine a model and bring it to life from start to finish.
A few years in a company allowed me to perfect my knowledge. There, I discovered computer graphics and digital textile printing; a revelation.
Being able to, in addition to creating your own models, design your own patterns, it was a dream come true. It didn't take much more to imagine creating my own world around children. Carotte & Cie was born.
Why Carrot & Co?
"The idea comes from a nickname given by a friend at fashion school. At the time, I had beautiful red hair, hence the nickname "Carotte" (Carrot).
And carrot is also the first vegetable given to babies during food diversification, isn't it? The name Carotte & Cie then made perfect sense...
Originally from the North of France, the cradle of French textiles, I was able to easily meet other inspiring creators with the same values.
Since the beginning of the adventure, I have wanted to offer a range of essentials for babies' daily lives.
A range of products that also make life easier for young parents; that are multifunctional, qualitative and timeless; but also with varied, playful, refined, Nordic-inspired patterns drawn with love to combine beauty and utility.
A range also accessible to the greatest number; with a fair price remunerating all stakeholders.
Having become a mother shortly after the launch of the brand, I was able to test and improve the range, which today offers more than 15 different products."
We love beautiful things...
Like the pretty patterns. We put our heart into designing our collections with unique prints and in small series in a Nordic, soft and refined spirit.
As well as beautiful materials. Our cottons are mostly organically grown with GOTS and/or Oeko-tex certifications.
We wanted to prioritize quality; just beautiful soft and natural materials for products made ethically and with short supply chains.
We promote French expertise
Attentive to the quality and monitoring of its products, Carotte & Cie works in close collaboration with its French and European service providers for the printing of its fabrics, as well as for the manufacturing of its entire baby range.
Each piece is carefully handmade in France and even in the Hauts-de-France region, close to our workshop, in order to best monitor production while promoting the know-how of our French artisans.
Because safety comes first
Our musical cushions, rattles, sensory books, sensory cubes, and teething rings comply with European CE standards, guaranteeing safety for little ones and reassurance for parents.
We place great importance on the quality of our raw materials, their traceability, and their treatment. The prints are made with natural water-based pigments certified Oeko-Tex, thus ensuring the best for baby's sensitive skin.
Because every parent wants the best for their child.

Our products are made with high-quality raw materials, carefully selected, organic cottons and/or printed with water-based inks that are more respectful of the planet.

We don't like waste...
Some of our products have been designed and made using fabric scraps from other brand products. We try as much as possible to optimize our raw materials in this way to avoid waste, because you can already create something from a tiny piece of fabric.
We also minimize our environmental impact by recycling packaging and eliminating as much plastic as possible from our shipments. Because every small gesture counts...
