Why is spring ideal for batch cooking?

1/ Because it marks the return of warmer days

We love batch cooking in spring! Why? Because with the return of days where life is good, we're more often outside rediscovering the joys of spring than in the kitchen, aren't we?

Batch cooking will therefore free up precious time for you so you don't miss a single moment of these spring days. To do this, you'll still need to set aside time to organize your week, make your shopping list, and cook. Call a friend, time will fly by faster, and it will be an opportunity to chat with the girls!

2/ Because it's picnic season

Warmer days also mark the return of outdoor activities and picnics: the quintessential spring meals! But these outdoor lunches often mean unhealthy food: chips, cured sausage, sugary drinks... Health-wise, we can do better, and batch cooking is perfectly suited for this.

It allows you to prepare your picnic in advance by cooking quick and healthy snacks. For this, think of seasonal fruits and vegetables and don't forget good fiber. With batch cooking, you can easily make a fresh herb tabbouleh and a homemade dip like hummus. Accompany it with a piece of wholemeal bread, cheese, and fruits, and you're done!

And for baby? Nothing could be simpler, they'll eat like you!

3/ Because it's an opportunity to introduce new fruits and vegetables

Spring is the season when nature comes back to life, when birds come out and we enjoy the days more because they get longer. We come out of hibernation, and that makes us happy. But the April period is also when we start consuming other fruits and vegetables. Out with the cabbage, endives, and pears, we make way for asparagus, radishes, and the essential strawberries! A taste of summer, in short!

So, why not take advantage of this new breath of fresh air to introduce these taste pleasures to your child? Between new flavors, a variety of colors, and textures, you'll see that spring fruits and vegetables have plenty to inspire you.
